Good News!

Gizmo made it through the night. He didn't look very good this morning. Mom said you could tell he was in a lot of pain and didn't feel good.

I slept in to 8 this morning. I slept great and I woke up fever free. I still have bad congestion in my lungs, but I will be alright. When I did wake up Gizmo and daddy were gone. Daddy had taken Gizmo back to the vet to drop off for one last test (ultrasound) to see if we should place him in a better place or if he is treatable. His ultrasound was at 7:30 this morning. Mom and I anxiously waited for a call from the doctor. At 9 mom couldn't wait any longer so she took me to school and she went to the vet to wait on Gizmo's results.

Good news! He is treatable and already is doing a lot better. It turns out it was his Gallbladder not his liver or pancreas that was giving him trouble. His gallbladder is swollen and has "gunk" (Quote from doc) in it. There is medicine that can push the "gunk" out and get things moving again.

Mom picked me up early from school and Gizmo happily greeted us at the door at home like old times! He is already a million times better. He is eating and drinking too. He has to take it slow though. It is such a relief to see him not in as much pain and to know there is a lot more hope now. I am so thankful that my parents and doctors continued to search for an answer and not give up on him too soon.

It is so good to have him home! Look familiar...

Mom whipped up a special spaghetti dinner to celebrate. My first homemade spaghetti dinner!!

Poor Gizmo couldn't have any. I can't give Gizmo handouts anymore. I don't want him to get sick again! My parents have to put him on a chair that they know he can't get out of so that he won't pick up my food that I drop on "accident."

We are all so relieved and thankful!!!!

Yeah! I was so scared for all of you. I am so happy that Gizmo is on the mend, and I hope little Mary feels 100% soon again too.

I'm glad I'm not paying your medical bills. :)
