My Baby Sister

Here are pictures of the big day. I was so excited for this day to come, I didn't mind waking up at 3:30 am. As the prepped mom for surgery, I was right there by her side. I held her hand, stroked her cheek with my hand, gave her lots of hugs and kisses, and glazed into her eyes with such love for what all she was about to go through to give me a baby sister. It is something mommy said she will always remember.

Here I am seeing her for the first time. I was so happy!

See my shirt that I wore proudly.

The hospital threw me a big sister party with a sibling cake.

I stayed with my grandparents while they were in the hospital. We went up to see them everyday. Daddy and I would help mommy walk slowly in the hallways after the first day. I would hold her hand and walk very slowly with her. My poor mommy has a bad boo boo that is going to take a lot of time to heal.

Getting ready to go home from hospital.

We have been home for several days and I still love my baby sister a lot. Mommy and daddy say that I am a big help around the house. I love helping change poo poo diapers. Mom does most of the feedings for obvious reasons, but every once in a while she has some saved that I can help feed the baby. Mom and dad are extremely thankful for how well I have adjusted.

Mom and dad have had little sleep though. Sarah actually sleeps all the time and is an easy baby, but she has acid reflux. She sometimes chokes when she sleeps, so mom and dad have taken shifts watching her sleep to help her if needed. They have bought some things to help her, like she has to sleep sleeping on an incline and mommy has to cut some more things out of her diet. She is getting better, but till then mom and dad are on shifts during the night to keep my baby sister safe.

My mommy is still recovering from surgery. She is still hurting and walking very slow. She can't do much around the house so daddy has been a great help. He is doing all the housework, errands, and still manages to have quality time for me. He is a great daddy!
