Drama Week / Sick?

What a crazy week it has been! Even though it has been so crazy and a lot of drama, we still have A LOT to be thankful for. Here is our week:

Monday night, mom, Gizmo, and I hung out in the closet because we really thought there was a tornado about to hit us. Luckily nothing hit us but a lot of my toys and other stuff in the backyard were blown everywhere. We were also very nervous, because daddy was driving home in it. Everything ended up okay.

Tuesday, even though a lot of flooding happened and some schools were closed, my school and mom's school was still open. Daddy worked from home because it would have been too hard a commute with the bad weather. After a nasty storm hit our town, mom got a call at school that my school is flooding and they were closing. Mommy called dad to go get me, but he looked outside and he was flooded in. Our neighborhood never floods, not even during hurricanes. But he was completely flooded in. Mommy rushed to get me and another few minutes her car wouldn't have made it to get me. Luckily, in our travels home the weather had slowed down and things began to drain. After many turn arounds later, going down different streets, and praying our car wouldn't get stuck, we made it home. Once we were home, we enjoyed being home early from school.

Wednesday, all the flu stuff really hit the news. Mom started to stress about what she was reading. When she picks me up, she hears a kid went home with a fever. Then during the night about midnight, I started to cry. As mom and dad try to comfort me, I gag like I am going to throw up. That really started to stress mom out, but luckily no fever.

Thursday morning, I am stuffed up but no fever. Mom goes to work worried, but okay. Then mom gets another call at school that I have fever. She left right away and panicked! Mom was wigged out ALL day about whether it is the swine flu as we waited for our doctor appointment later that afternoon. I had fever all day, but it never went above 100 so mom was feeling better that it wasn't the flu. Later in the day, we went to the doctor and they tested me for the flu, but thank god no flu!!!! I have a bad cold with an ear infection. They gave me antibiotics.

Friday, my lungs are full with congestion now. This infection has moved fast, time for my breathing machine again. Daddy stayed home with me today. I am sick, but thank God it is just my usual sickness and nothing to really worry about like in the news.
