More Birthday, School, and Church Stuff

I had a birthday party at school on Monday. I brought some cupcakes that mommy made. My friends sang happy birthday to me.

Yes, the other faces are blurry for a reason like they do on TV. : )

I bought my first Big Wheel with my birthday money. I was a little frustrated at first, but I am starting to get the hang of it. I can't go fast yet. It will help when I grow another inch.

As always, mom loves Monday's because she gets to see what I have been learning in school from my notebook.

We have been gardening, learning about growing plants, and the life cycle of a butterfly. We had a real Caterpillar we watch turn into this beautiful butterfly. I got to hold it.

The month February, we also learned to be very helpful. We had homework every night. Every morning I brought a heart to my teacher that my mom or dad wrote on the heart what I did the day before to be helpful.

I am doing so good with counting. I can count to 20, but also I am really understanding the concept of counting. See picture. We went to Ash Wednesday. After we received our ashes, I whispered to mom

" Mommy, you're dirty." When we got home, mom showed me that I was dirty too. From mom: "Mary is cute at church. When we pray, she closes her eyes as hard as she can and puts her hands together as tight as she can. Too cute. She also runs up to the communion rail to kneel to get her blessing. She reads (mumbles) out loud when the congregation is reading aloud. She dances and gets into the songs at Sunday School. She is so cute at church! She loves going to Church and asks for it too. I am excited that she will be going to a Christian School next year where I work."
