Giving Thanks!
Today I was very thankful to be able to participate in our Thanksgiving Feast at school. The feast consisted of Chick-Fil-A nuggets, corn, potatoes, and dessert. Yum! I liked the food but the real reason why I am thankful is because I almost thought I was going to have to miss school today for a serious illness.
Last night, when mom picked me up to go to my ENT doctor for a eartube check, she noticed that my bug bite on my chest had gotten worse. School didn't notice it because it was under my shirt. I had the bite Monday after school, by Tuesday when she picked me up it was HUGE (4 inches in diameter), Red, Hot, Swollen, Knotted up, etc. After my ENT said my ears were OK, she gave my chest a good look at. She said that I have cellutitis, which is an infection of the tissue after a bite usually. It can be very serious, spread rapidly, and sometimes hospitalization is a must. The doctor's orders were antibiotics, cream, and Motrin. She said that if it wasn't better by this morning that I need to see my pediatrician asap. Luckily, this morning it looked a lot better and I was able to enjoy the Feast at school. We had fun, we dressed up as Indians, danced like Indians to Native music, and ate good food. It was a lot of fun!
Sorry, my Teepee is upside down...
Here is my homework from last weekend.
