Family

The day started well by a good snuggle with my mommy and Gizzie while watching cartoons.
We had our Thanksgiving at my Grandparents on Friday. I got dressed up!It was a day of good food and lots of fun with my family. Here is a picture of all my cousins on my mom's side.

Afterwards, cousin Katy came over my house for a slumber party. I was so excited for her to come over to my house.

We played and played...anytime Katy would leave the room I would cry out for her. I love Katy. She is my best friend!

My parents took us to McDonald's to eat and play on the big slides. Katy took me all through their tunnels and down all the slides. I loved it!

Afterwards, we drove around to look at Christmas lights. I would say " Ooh pretty" to the houses that had decorations up. It was a great day!

Turkey Day Fun!

First, I am feeling a lot better. Granddaddy took good care of me 2 days this week. We had fun wheeling around in their cool car.
Then Momma stayed home with me on Wednesday and Daddy came home early. He bought me my own doctor kit. They are always listening to my chest, so I know just what to do.

Today was Turkey day and we stayed in our pj's all day. We are getting with the family tomorrow. We did a lot of cooking today...

And we had a good Thanksgiving dinner in the dining room dressed up as Indians.

We also decorated the Christmas tree and wrapped presents.I posted my first video on the blog just below this one!

Round 3

I have good news and bad news...

Good news is that my fever broke today. Bad news is that I have pneumonia again for the 3rd time.

Even though my fever went away, mom and dad took me back to the doctor because they heard a very familiar sound when I breathe...pneumonia. The doctor confirmed it this afternoon. I have more medicines, which I am sick of...but better than the hospital. I am trying to rest by watching a lot of TV, so much that dad and mom wanted their TV back so they hooked up my own TV.
I know how to wipe my own nose now with a Kleenex. They tell me to wipe my nose, I wipe, and give to my parents.

Daddy bought me a balloon after the doctor's office.

I want to go outside so badly...see my BO BO on my thumb where they took blood?

Doc #2

I have had a bad cough all week and have been doing breathing treatments a lot this week. Luckily, I was already on Antibiotics for my cellutitis (see 2 previous entries ago, "Giving Thanks!").

However, by Thursday I had high fever-close to 103 and horrible chest congestion. Daddy stayed home with me today, took good care of me, and took me to the doctor. They think that I have an upper respiratory virus not related to my bug bites. I just hope that it isn't the same virus that put me in the hospital last year. Luckily, this time we have breathing machines at home to prevent it.

It is definitely a virus...one minute I feel horrible!

And the next I am playing with Gizzie! We like to play chase. They say a virus has spikes, Motrin helps too. Most of the time I don't feel this good. We are starting to wonder if it is croup, because sometimes my cough sounds like a dog barking. Too soon to say. I will keep you posted!

Embarrassing Moment

...for mom.

When we were at the doctor's office (see previous blog on why), mom took me to the bathroom with her as she went potty. When we walked out of the bathroom into the waiting area where a lot of people were, I said "Whew, Whew, Momma, Stinky!" as I waved my hand across my face back and forth like I couldn't breath from the stink.

She was so embarrassed. I do it all the time at home when I go to the potty room, and my parents thought it was cute. But it wasn't cute to her in public. Mom was so embarrassed!!!! It wasn't the truth, she only did #1 little did the people know....

Giving Thanks!

Today I was very thankful to be able to participate in our Thanksgiving Feast at school. The feast consisted of Chick-Fil-A nuggets, corn, potatoes, and dessert. Yum! I liked the food but the real reason why I am thankful is because I almost thought I was going to have to miss school today for a serious illness.

Last night, when mom picked me up to go to my ENT doctor for a eartube check, she noticed that my bug bite on my chest had gotten worse. School didn't notice it because it was under my shirt. I had the bite Monday after school, by Tuesday when she picked me up it was HUGE (4 inches in diameter), Red, Hot, Swollen, Knotted up, etc. After my ENT said my ears were OK, she gave my chest a good look at. She said that I have cellutitis, which is an infection of the tissue after a bite usually. It can be very serious, spread rapidly, and sometimes hospitalization is a must. The doctor's orders were antibiotics, cream, and Motrin. She said that if it wasn't better by this morning that I need to see my pediatrician asap. Luckily, this morning it looked a lot better and I was able to enjoy the Feast at school. We had fun, we dressed up as Indians, danced like Indians to Native music, and ate good food. It was a lot of fun!

Since we have been learning about Thanksgiving and Family...look at my school work from this month:

Sorry, my Teepee is upside down...

Here is my homework from last weekend.

I worked a long time choosing the right pictures for my homework.

Ben's Party

After my busy, fun Saturday morning (see previous blog)...we ventured out again for more fun at my cousin Ben's b-day party. I had a lot of fun! There were so many fun things to do in the backyard! At first I was a little shy, but my cousin Katy helped me feel better by taking me be the hand showing me how to use the bubble maker. I got good at it. Katy and I played a lot together. I need to have her over for a slumber party again soon! Ben had such a cool, fun party. After I got home, I crashed way earlier than normal. See the pictures of the party:

Barney!!!

My new love---Barney!!! Grandaddy gave me a DVD of Barney a few months back and I love it!!! I ask to watch Barney all of the time. I sing and dance with him and the kids. I would watch him all day if I was allowed too. My mom and dad are hearing the songs in their sleep.

Today, we ventured out to I thought was the mall but it ended up being a Children's Festival in the Woodlands. We were at the outside stadium and I was getting very antsy wanting out of there. We had front row...and then out of no where, BARNEY came out on stage singing and dancing. I couldn't believe it! I was so surprised and SHOCKED!!! I thought I was going to pass out from the excitement. Later, I would sing, cheer, clap, and dance along with Barney. We had great seats being on the front row. I had a great time! See the pictures of my great morning with Barney!!!

School Pictures

Two weeks ago, I had pictures taken at school. The proofs came in today! Which pose should we choose to buy? This is something my teacher wrote in my journal this past Monday:

"Today was Mary's turn to hold the flag during the Pledge of Allegiance. She was so excited to have her turn!"
