My First Jeep

Mommy bought my first pink Jeep.
Mommy wanted something light like an umbrella stroller but had storage and a cup holder for her. After a lot of searching we found one. I like it and so does mommy!

Zoo

We visited the zoo today and saw a lot of exhibits that we didn't get to see last time. I got to play on the playground this time too. The last time we visited, I wasn't into slides yet. We also visited Herman Park and rode the train around it. On the train I said, "choo choo!" It was fun! It was very hot, so daddy bought me my first snow cone. Yummy! The fish were my favorite this time (in the air conditioning too). I would say "fishy" when I saw them. Here are the pictures from our outing.

Rides and other Fun Stuff

Friday after mom, dad, and I went to the Cheesecake Factory we went on a boat ride on the Woodland's Waterway. It was a 40 minute tour and I saw waterfalls, buildings, ducks, turtles, nutrias, and bridges. I liked where the water shoots real high up in the air.

Dad has invented a new game that I love. He pulls me around on a quilt around the house. It is a great rainy day activity.

Gizmo loves to hop on too.
It finally got pretty enough for us to go for a walk. It was so peaceful that I fell asleep in the stroller before I got to the park. I haven't gone to sleep in my stroller in a very, very long time! Needless to say we didn't go to the park. I continued to nap in the stroller for an hour, then dad moved me to my bed and I continued to sleep for 2 more hours. I was tired. I never fall asleep before lunch. Mom was afraid I was coming down with something. But I am fine! I actually (keeping fingers crossed) haven't been sick all summer. Amazing what no daycare does. Which by the way starts in a week and a half....yuck!
Since it was still pretty we played outside in our pool. I love going down the slides into the pool.

Rain or shine, I love reading my books. I like reading them on the recliner now that I can climb on it all by myself.

Since I love going for rides, I take my teddy bear for rides too. He loves it as much as I do!

The best thing from this weekend, better than any ride is watching Barrett and Fischer's blog. I have watched that video about 30 times. I love it and I am in awe of it. I ask over and over to watch it!

Queen of the Roadhouse

Dad's car is in the shop, so we have been taking and picking up Dad from work. Tonight after picking him up we went to Texas Roadhouse that was just built near our house.

Before we got there I had already been in the car for an hour and was getting very antsy and hungry. I wasn't in a good mood the last 10 minutes of the drive. Mom was debating whether we should even go out to eat since I had been in the car already for a long time and didn't want me in that mood in the restaurant. A few weeks ago, I started getting cranky at restaurants. Mom and dad have been working with me at home by giving me things to do before and after I eat to increase my time to sit still at a table for longer periods of time without putting up a fuss. They give me colors, books, and stickers. It has been working because I have been getting better. Tonight I got an A-.

We didn't have to wait long luckily, but while we waited I couldn't believe the messy restaurant that mom and dad chose. There were peanut shells all over the floor. (sorry, bad pics from phone camera)While we waited I decided I would help clean up by handing the ones on the floor to dad. What a mess!
When we sat at the table, I didn't have to have a booster. See how tall I am without a booster.

I have really taken a growth spurt. I can climb on our couches and recliners now at home without a problem.

Despite their mess, the food was good. Soon as we sat down they gave us bread that was delicious! The chicken strips and mashed potatoes were great too. I was a good girl at the table and sat their quietly without putting up a fuss for an hour. That is a huge accomplishment!

The best part was that occasionally the waiters and waitress would dance and clap to the loud country music. I stood up and wanted to dance and clap too! I had a ball. After the last dance, all I wanted to do was stand and dance. That is why I got the A- and not a A +....I wouldn't listen when mom and dad told me to sit the last 10 minutes of dinner. I just wanted to dance to the nice country music. Maybe dad just didn't like the music for those of you that know my dad. Ha!

Mom took me to the bathroom to wash up (really to break the habit of wanting to dance at the table and stop me from crying). As we walked to the restroom, I kept stopping in the aisle and would dance and clap. The other people thought it was funny! Afterwards, I went back to the table and was a good girl again playing quietly with my stickers and books at the table.

When we left, I waved bye bye to everyone in the restaurant especially the dancers, oh and the lizard that was on the wall next to our table! That place rocks, now I know why mom and dad like that place despite the mess!

Kemah!

Today was A LOT of fun! Mom and I drove to my grandparents house and then we all went to Kemah. We got there at an hour early before any rides opened up. We walked around the boardwalk, watched birds and boats on the water. Then we found this huge playground area. I went down the slides a lot. I love slides! It got very hot so we had to cool off in some shade while we waited on the rides to open up.

Finally, it was time to do some rides. First we did the Carousel and I cried a little but once it got going I was fine.

Then we all rode the train. It took the train a while to get going, but I just sat next to mommy with my hands folded in my lap patiently waiting on the train to start. I enjoyed the train ride. It goes through tunnels, around water, and through a western scene.
Afterwards, we rode on a plane that goes in circles and up and down. It didn't scare me at all. I liked honking the horn on it.

We needed to cool off again and we were hungry so we went to a Mexican restaurant that is there and we ate inside. I was a good girl at the table. Lately I haven't been doing so good in a restaurant, but I sat there like a good girl. I had chips and hot sauce, and quesidillas (sp?) with beans and rice. I shoveled the beans and rice in with a big tea spoon. I loved it, but not as much as my sophopila (sp?) that came with my kids meal. YUM! YUM! It was good! I especially liked the whip cream that came with it.
After lunch we drove to my grandparents. I needed a nap, but I was having so much fun playing with the toys that I wouldn't nap. After a while, mom left and I am staying the night here at my grandparents. Yea! I have a blast with them. Thanks for a fun day!

My Mommy!

Today I went to school for a few hours while mommy had some time to herself and to clean. Mom said she was going to drop me off this summer once a week because it would be good for me. Here it is July and this was the first time she took me. Mom and I were having so much fun, she just couldn't do it. She thought that I would be happy to play with my friends again; however, when dad dropped me off I threw a fit. Mom thought that I would be ok after a little while like the old days.

What mom didn't know is that I cried the whole time I was there. I missed my mommy! I didn't want to participate in anything at school, I just cried and cried. Sometimes a teddy bear that the teacher gave me would make me feel better. When mom picked me up and saw my eyes swollen from crying all morning, she felt so bad. I had the crying hick ups even 30 minutes after she picked me up. I was just so upset and I missed my mommy! I don't look forward to August! The teacher let me take the teddy bear home with me.
After mom picked me up, we had lunch with dad at the mall. We played at the play area too. That was a lot of fun. I crashed on the way home. It was a long tiring day!

Birthday in July?

For the 4th of July, we went to a party at my Uncle Carl and Aunt Rakul's house. We had good food and I had a lot of fun! I had one big, excuse me, HUGE crying spell but overall I had a great time. It finally stopped raining long enough for us to play outside. There was all sort of toys to play with. In the above picture, daddy is trying to talk me through the tunnel. I never made it to the other side, I just said Boo!
I liked the motorized big wheel.

I had a good time playing with my cousins and other family members. We went home before the fireworks. I needed a nap bad! I crashed at 5 on the way home. Late nap, but much needed.

That evening we did sparklers.

And we watched the sunset.

As we waited on the fireworks, I tended to my garden.

I wasn't scared of the booms when they started; but the closer they got, the more frequent, and the louder they got I was ready to go inside. We watched a lot of fireworks from our windows. You could see a lot from our top window. I like watching them that way, less loud! After a while, when you have seen one you have seen them all...I went to bed. I was a little scared at first, but went right to sleep.

My dad and I gave mom an early 30th (She is still 29 for a month and a half)birthday gift. We are going to take her to Disney World sometime this year. The best part of the gift, is mom gets to do the planning. She loves that sort of thing, believe me she does!
