From Thanksgiving to Christmas

From one holiday to the next. I had a good Thanksgiving holiday overall! If it wasn't for being sick it would have been even better.

My daddy was off all week from work. We had good quality time together while my mom had to work on Monday and Tuesday. He took Gizmo and me for a spin in a laundry basket. Doing laundry is fun, I don't know why my parents complain about laundry!

I had to go to the doctor twice this week. Not fun! I had to go to the doctor for a sudden fever. Another cold gone to the ears. Then later in the week when I felt better, they had to take me to the doctor for a wellness visit. I knew this time the shot was coming and reached for my mommy to help me. I don't like those shots!!

I had good quality time with all my family. On Friday, we hosted Thanksgiving. I was busy helping my parents prepare for my first Thanksgiving. I especially liked helping mommy and daddy make cookies. They were good!!! I had so much fun with all my family over that I didn't nap. I had fun with all my cousins.

However, after the party I didn't feel good. My sickness went to my chest. I had a horrible cough. I felt so horrible. My Barney doll was the only thing that made me feel better...that and a lot of TLC from my parents.

When dad went to get my cough medicane at Walgreen's I fell asleep watching Frosty the Snowman on my mommy's chest at 6:00. I never knew that mommy had taken me to my bed. I was out! I never go to bed that early...and I slept 13 hours straight.

The next day we had Thanksgiving again at my Grammy's. She is a great cook! I gobbled up all my food. I used one of her sippie cups. I use to not do so good with a sippie. Now I am a pro. Grammy's cup taught me how.

I conked out at Grammy's at 7:00. I didn't even know that my parents put me in the car, drove home, and carried me up to my bed. I slept another 13 hours. I am not going to want to get up early for school tomorrow.

I accidently had my first Happy Meal! Mommy asked just for the kid size nuggets. Instead they gave her a whole happy meal. I loved my nuggets!

I am looking forward to Christmas. We haven't done the tree yet. We are going to do it next weekend...and see Santa too!! But mommy and I did a lot of shopping. I helped her look through the ads to see what to buy before we shopped.

Off to a Great Start!

The Thanksgiving Holidays are off to a great start! On Friday, my parents had date night so I stayed at my grandparent's house. I had a ball! My cousin stayed there too. My first sleep over!

I am excited my dadda has off all week from work. Quality time with my dadda. I can't wait!

Tonight my dadda and I shared a spaghetti noodle like off of Lady and the Tramp. It melted my mommy's heart.

Well that is all for now...I have a lot more relaxing to do for the holiday's.

Why the late update?

We had a busy, busy weekend doing things across Houston. We did some Christmas shopping, visited Tony's new house, and visited my Grammy Barbara.

I got lots of hugs and kisses...from Max too (my Grammy's dog) . Grammy gave me a cute stuffed animal Lamb to put in my room. I will have to keep Gizmo away from it.

Thank goodness my mommy and daddy dress me. I never know what to expect the weather to be like for the day. One day they dress me in my Nike warm-up suit because it is freezing.

The next day I am in a short sleeve onesie because it is hot. No wonder I am sick AGAIN with another cold. My Granddaddy took care of me last minute on Monday. He gave me a lot of tender loving care, so I am much better today and was able to go to school. I still have the sniffles, but much better!

So why, the late update...my mom and dad have had VERY LITTLE SLEEP since I have been sick! But Thanks to my Godmother Brigitte's comment on the last blog...she reminded mommy that she needed to update my blog even if she were sleepy.

First time for...

There were a lot of Firsts this weekend. My parent's are shocked as to how quickly I am growing up.

On Friday, I wore 12 month pj's. I need them for the length, more than the width. My poor feet don't fit in the 9 month pairs. The 12 months were very comfy. Mom has to reorganize my closet of clothes that I have outgrown. It seems like she just did it. That was just the beginning of showing how quickly I am growing up.

I wore my first pair of walking shoes today. They are white with pink and purple flowers. They are so cute and they taste good too. Mom doesn't like it when I chew my shoes.

I am finally big enough to ride in the carseat facing forwards. I was so excited! What a big difference to see where I am going and to see my mom and dad.

I'm done with baby food! I like to feed myself breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner now. Mom and dad bought my first toddler bib and plate, instead of eating off the highchair. I still sit in the highchair, but I eat off a big girl plate. They loaded up my plate for dinner with chicken, garlic (hmm) potatoes, and green beans. I ate it all!

I was still hungry so I got dessert, Peach Cobbler! Baby food this time, but who cares it's dessert. It was so good, mom and dad couldn't shove it in fast enough, so I stole the spoon and started to feed myself successfully for the first time with the spoon.

My parent's were shocked! I had tried feeding myself with the spoon before, but usually I would poke myself in the eye or flick the food all over my mom and her blinds.

I also pull up everywhere! I can walk from one end of the coffee table to the other end holding on to the table.

I had a ball with tupperware tonight while mommy cooked. Not a first like all the other things, but I had to share the cute picture of me having a ball with the tupperware.

Shoes, clothes, carseat, feeding myself, walking along table...see I told you that I had a lot of firsts this weekend and it's only Saturday!
