Fun Weekends and Mary's Field Day

Mary had Field Day Friday for our school 1st thru 4th grade.  Our Field Day competes against other schools and has some track and field type events.  Steve took Mary to it.  Mommy had to work since I have the bigger kids.  The bigger kids field day is next week.  She loved the daddy time.  Mary with her ribbons above.  She did long jump, sack race (got 4th out of 8), and soccer kick.  Here is long jump.
 Ready for sack race....

Mary happy she got a ribbon!
 Soccer kick...
They had a bunch of hills that Mary and other kids ran up and down for fun.

Afterwards, Steve took Mary to Chuck E Cheese.  Mary was done with her field day events by noon so they went for pizza.
Last week...
2 weekends ago, Mary went to a birthday party at a roller rink.  Look at the things that help them skate.  Looks like an old lady's walking tennis ball walker.  Funny!

 Then she tried without it.

Last weekend we went for family day.  We started with icecream.

It was a beautiful day.  We have been having a longer spring and once a week actually cold weather for Houston.  Normally we are in the 80's or 90's.  Lately we have had days in the 50's and 60's but with sun.  It has been nice without humidity!!!  We will see how long it lasts.
We took them putt putting and Go Karting!  Mary and Sarah have never done either.
Mary took a picture of us.

Knocking out the clowns teeth to look like Mary's teeth.  : )
Ready for Go Kart!!  Sarah was just the passenger.
Gizzie chilling with daddy working at home...in his backpack almost everyday.

Took a break from the backpack....can you find the Gizzie in the picture below?
The girls and Steve have a ball every day playing old video games!!!

This and that from a crazy week...

Steve took the girls for Dairy Queen icecream while I visited Granddad in the hospital.  The girls were upset, they wanted to go...so icecream made it all better.
 Dress up...
 Gizzie sleeping in Steve's backpack...
Granddad in ER before emergency gallbladder surgery.

 He healing well at home...

Katy babysat for the first time and did a good job!  They had a sleepover as well.
 Swimming earlier in the week...

Steve found old video games...here is Mary playing Donkey Kong.
Mary got her slippers she had been wanting...she got them for being an Eagle Reader from us.  When you step the eyelids open and close.  She reached her yearly reading / quiz goal!  It is a big deal at school.  She will get a medal at the end of the year.
Sarah is starting to color inside the lines, instead of all over the place.

 Gizmo turned 10 this weekend.

He only had a few licks.  He got a new squecky toy.
