Thanksgiving Part 2

In Mary's Point of View....

We went to my Great Grandparent's house for Thanksgiving. My mom's cousins were in town from Tennessee. I had so much fun playing with my cousins and seeing Alyssa in from college. I want to visit Anna sometime in Tennessee. We became good pals! We missed Annika and Benjamin.

My Great Grandparents.....Friday night we met up with a lot of my mommy's extended family at a Restaurant. We had a table for 22. I enjoyed more time with Anna. Sarah was a very good girl at dinner.

We also set up our Christmas decorations at the end of the week.

Now for the outside...I love helping my daddy decorate the outside for Christmas.

Daddy is pointing to Sarah not napping in her room...he can tell by somebody peeping through the blinds.

Sarah wouldn't nap, so she joined us outside. Yes, it finally got cold here....well cold for Texas.

I ended up joining in on the chalk fun with Sarah.

It is going to be hard to go back to work and school next week. This was the best week ever!

Happy Thanksgiving Part 1

It has been a great week so far and we are only half way thru it. This is the first time I have had a full week off for Thanksgiving and I am enjoying every bit of it. I am getting so much family time! I love it!

Here is Mary on Friday at her Thanksgiving party at school. They dressed up as Pilgrims and Indians then went on a parade throughout the big school. Mary knows so many of the big kids from my volleyball girls, so she felt cool that everyone knew her. Then they ate their friendship mix and had fun the rest of the day.

Saturday we went to visit Pee Paw and Grandma Carolyn and stay the night in the country. Mary enjoyed finding snail shells and fossils all over their yard. She collected a whole bag of them. The weather was so much nicer. It felt great!

Sarah enjoyed watching the birds.They had a front porch swing. I remember my Grandaddy having one too. So that was cute to see. They enjoyed it and the hamonck too.

Here is Sarah still enjoying the birds in the birdbath from the window. It felt so nice outside that all the windows were kept open.In our Pj's....Headed to church....here is the view from the church parking lot.

After church we went to lunch and then to a local park. The park was so beautiful because their were all these fall leaves falling around us and on the ground. It was so nice to see actual seasons, not like here in Houston where it is summer year round. We really enjoyed seeing Fall!

When we headed home, we stopped for dinner at an old favorite were Steve and I use to go on dates. Then we took the kids through the Christmas lights. This time we could drive through and no wait....I know early but much better than waiting in the cold for 2 hours and everyone getting sick. The kids enjoyed it...this time.Monday, I took the kids to see Santa. I will mail those pictures soon. Sarah screemed her head off and did not like sitting in his lap. Then Mary got her haircut. She hates the blowdryer so she always asks to have it braided instead. Here she is later that afternoon.

Then Tuesday, I took the kids to get their pictures taken for Christmas cards. They turned out so cute, those will be put in the mail soon too. Sarah didn't cry like she did with Santa.

Happy Halloween 2011

Mary was Rupunzel and Sarah was Minnie Mouse. I wanted Sarah to be TinkerBell, but she kept pointing to the Minnie Mouse outift in the store. So we used the one Mary had at her age.

Wow, how Mary has grown and look how much Sarah looks like Mary did when she wore the same outfit. Here is Mary in 2007. We have changed our bushes, so don't use the bushes as a point of reference for growing.

After Trick or Treating, we had some fun with Mary's wig. Here is Sarah....she reminds me of ET when they put the wig on ET.
