Sick Update

I am continuing to get worse by the hour. My temperature has gone up and my chest is majorly congested. This isn't just pink eye with me. I am having labored breathing and you can hear pneumonia sounds, so mom and dad have started giving me breathing treatments. If I am still like this in the morning, we will go to the doctor again.

Sick Family

Yup, we are all sick.

Mom has had a cold for over a week, but kept dealing with it with over the counter drugs and continuing to go to work. She was getting better, but kept feeling so tired with a low grade fever. After waking up several days in a row with pink eye, she decided to go to the doctor Friday. She has pink eye(s), sinus infection, and a little walking pneumonia. She doesn't feel as bad as it sounds, but at least she has medicine.

I also went to the doctor yesterday. I have been waking up with goopy eyes for a couple days as well. Friday, I also woke up with sinus congestion. They gave me medicine, but I am continuing to get worst by the hour. We were around someone with the Flu a few days ago, so we are keeping our fingers crossed that isn't what any of us have. We had the Flu shot, but that didn't prevent me from getting it last year. Right now, my fever is only in the 99's so we think just a bad cold.

Dad went to the doctor today and he has a bad sinus infection too. He doesn't have any fever though.

Mom has been home with me. We are taking care of each other. She set up my old toddler bed downstairs in front of the TV. It is a lot more comfortable than the hard floor.

Mom tried hard to get me to nap, so she could nap too. It didn't happen. Then as soon as she gave up, poured herself a cup of coffee, she turned around to find me crashed on the couch in weird position while watching Dora. One minute I was singing with Dora, the next snoring.

5 senses

We are learning so many things in school. One of the things we are learning is about our 5 senses. Examples of each are:

Seeing a real a Caterpillar turn into butterfly,
seeds grow into plants that we grew ourselves, and many more.
Hearing a hidden music box that we had to use our ears to find.

Tasting the difference between salt and sugar, eating applesauce we made, eating carrots, and many more.

Smelling apples cooking, raw carrots

Touching different textures, like washing a freshly picked dirty carrot

Some activities incorporated all 5 senses. We used an old timer apple peeler, and corer. We then cut it up, mashed it up, added sugar and cinnamon, smelled them cooking, and then we ate it! Yummy!

Getting Back on the Horse

As most know, in November I got a fractured leg from a trampoline at a birthday party in my cousin's backyard. I told everyone I got a boo boo from a trampoline.

Well 2 weeks ago, I started going to Gymnastics again. I was so excited to go back to it. I love it! The first time we didn't rotate to the trampoline so all was well. This last week, we rotated to the trampoline. Mom was nervous on how I would react and do on it. Well I did great, no hesitation at all and I wouldn't get off when it was time. So no worries, all is well.

We still won't try a backyard trampoline for a while, if ever. Those are the ones that the doctor warns us about. Supposedly the gymnastics places are safer.

I am so happy to be back into my gymnastics again. You can't even tell my leg use to be hurt. No limp at all!

Still Christmas

We had another Christmas party with mom's extended side of the family last night. I wore a pretty new dress with princesses on it and it had white fur around the collar and sleeves. I wore silver shinny shoes with it. I looked cute!

We still have another Christmas party yet to go on my dad's side of the family next weekend. We are keeping the tree and decorations up until it is officially over. Doesn't bother me, I love the decorations and presents!
