Rest of Spring Break and Easter

Only one more day left of Spring Break. I have had a great Spring Break with mommy. Mom took me to school 2 days during the week for just a few hours so I could play with my friends. Otherwise we have had a lot of great quality time together, watching movies, sleeping in, playing outside, shopping, and more. One day we went up to daddy's work and had lunch with him.

On Saturday, it was warm enough for us to put on our bathing suits and try to play in the sprinkler. I put on one of my new bathing suits and I looked cute!

We had a family party one night at my Aunt Tara's pool. It was too cool for the pool, but I enjoyed the hot (really just a warm) tub. I had a ball. Mom and dad didn't have time to take any pictures that night.

Granddaddy gave me a quilt that he made for me. It is made out of the silky material that I love. It is so nice and cozy. I sleep with it every night!

The Easter Bunny came to see me today. Look at the great goodies s(he) gave me.

After we had a nice breakfast and I played with my goodies, we got dressed for church. My grandpa gave my mom and I a corsage for Easter to wear. I wouldn't wear it, but I enjoyed caring it around.

After church, we hunted Easter eggs. I knew just what to do, since I had that great hunt at my cousin's house the weekend before.

I say "cheese" now when someone holds up a camera.

This weekend we also dyed eggs.

This week has been so much fun. Too bad it has to end soon. But in 10 weeks, we can have more fun like this for 10 weeks. Happy Easter Everyone!

California

My dad had a business trip last week in Carmel, California. We missed Daddy a lot! I started to get sick later in the week (sinus), so mommy had to take care of me all by herself. At the end of the week, mom joined him up there to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary while I went to my grandparents. I was ready to go to my grandparents can you tell?

They said that it is beautiful, but cold. They had a great time together, but I know they missed me. Here are some pictures from their trip.

Lots of shops, wine tasting, restuarants, and bars within walking distance from hotel. Dogs here are allowed in almost every store and restuarant. They are treated like royalty. I guess Gizmo isn't that spoiled after all.

Unfortunely, on the day they were to take the scenic drive down highway 1, it rained a lot. It is supposed to be the prettiest drive in all of California. It was pretty, but the rain did put a damper on things. The pictures don't do it justice on how pretty it was---mom says. The rain completly went away and the sun came out later in the afternoon and they could have gone back out there but after doing some wine tasting it wouldn't have been smart.

I had a lot of fun with my grandparents while they were away. We went shopping, to Kemah to ride rides, and on an egg hunt in my cousin's neighborhood. I had a lot of fun and I loved the Bunny!

I had a great time this weekend, but it was good to see my mom and dad again. Especially my dad since he was gone the longest!

Family Pictures

We had pictures done this weekend. We took nearly 100, but here are the final poses we chose. These are just the proofs from the CD, the actual pictures might have a little more cropped off and better lighting. In other words they look better once printed. I was a good girl and didn't put up a fuss. Mom has to do a lot of cutting and then we will be sending out the real pictures soon.

Cowgirl!

Last week we learned about Texas in school. We learned about the Texas flag, Blue Bonnets, Long Horns (sisss), Armadillos, cowboys, and boots. Stereotyping Texas, I know. We did all sorts of activities about it all. See our fridge.

One day we dressed up as cowgirls, acted like them, and rode a stick as our horse. I had too much fun, that there is a wanted poster for me! We had a lot of fun! See a scan of the wanted poster below.

Ready for Spring

Saturday we visited my Grandparents in my cute new outfit they gave me. It was very pretty outside on Saturday! They had a great bubble machine. It was a lot of fun!
