Good Idea!

Yea! Mom and dad got it to work in a round about kinda way. You must read the previous blog first about my surgery. It explains this picture.

Again, you must read the blog just before this one for it to make sense!

Since the picture was on the camera screen, but when downloaded to the computer every time it came up as an error...mom was determined to come up with a way to get the picture on here. Not only did she want it on here, but for my scrapbook too. So as she was running she came up with an idea that we could use the video camera that has a camera feature to take a picture of the picture on the camera. Mom's idea, but dad did the aiming. Not a great picture, but at least you can see it. Again that was the picture of me just before they took me back for surgery once the sleepy juice kicked in.

Surgery

I had surgery this morning to put tubes in my ears because I had too many ear infections. All went well!

This morning I could not eat or drink anything. I did pretty good though. I didn't complain like mom and dad thought I would. Here are a couple of pictures of me waiting for surgery before the sleepy drink.
My Granddaddy came too!

The sleepy drink made me feel out of it. I kept giving my mommy tons of kisses in slow motion. Things were weird and I was getting very sleepy. There was a great picture of me laying in the hospital bed all drugged up, but it won't download to the computer. On the camera you can see it clear as day, but when put it on computer it is messed up. Mommy was very mad about it.

After a while they wheeled me back and gave me some anesthesia from a mask. Mom and dad were very nervous and emotional but they tried to be brave for me. Within 10 minutes I was in recovery. I was NOT happy AT ALL! Nothing made me happy. I cried, cried, screamed, and cried some more. Then the nice nurse gave me my first green popsicle. Yum!!! I ate the whole thing. I have been pretty happy since then at home. I watched my favorite movie Mary Poppins in my mom's lap. It made me feel better.

I have been eating slowly cheerios, soup, and goldfish crackers. I am running around playing now.

All is GREAT! And I can already hear better!!! Thanks for the prayers!!

Fun Full Saturday!

All week my parents had to wake me up at 7:00 for school. But today was Saturday, so I decided to start the weekend early and wake up at 6:20am. But who's complaining at least I am old enough to sleep through the night. My mom took me to see the Easter Bunny this morning. You can't tell, but I loved him!!! When he first got to the mall, I waved to him and smiled big.

Grandma and Granddad also came along. Grandma got me up close before it was even my turn!!!

After sitting in the Easter Bunny's lap we shopped and looked at puppies. I especially loved one that looked just like Gizzie! They made me laugh and laugh!!

I had a lot of fun and I love being with my Grandparents! I also saw my Aunt Tara and cousin Katy at the mall.

On the way home from the mall, I fell asleep. Mom took me in the house so that I could finish my nap as I usually do. I slept only 5 to 10 minutes and I was ready to get up. So we ventured out shopping again, this time to Michael's. Mom had to buy more stickers for my scrapbook. Daddy joined mommy and me at Michael's. Then we ate at fattening Whataburger. (Mom added the fattening part, feeling guilty. She ran later to try to make up for it!) I liked my chicken strips and fries! Afterwards, mom went to the grocery store and I got some time alone with my daddy. Usually, I help mom with groceries but I had enough with shopping for the day and I wanted some time with my daddy. I still wouldn't take a real nap, I just played and played!

Then Grandma and Granddad came over again! Wow, what a treat! I saw them TWICE!! YEA!!!

Finally, I took a nap. A very late nap, 4:30 to 5:30. Usually, I don't take such a late nap. When I woke up I was confused, dazed, and cranky. It took me a while to truly wake up and be my happy, laughing self. Uncle Carl, Aunt Rakul, and Cousin Ben came over. I cried and was very shy at first when they came over, but then I warmed up a little. Sorry, I just woke up and was in a daze still. I had fun playing with my cousin.

Afterwards, my parent's and I went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant at the Market Street. It was really late for me, but I had a late nap so my parents were crossing their fingers. It was nice, we got to eat outside and watch the sunset (sort of). After the sun went away I looked up and there was a white C in the air. Mom and dad said it was called the moon. It fascinated me! I kept staring at it almost falling out of my chair to look straight up at it. I had fun, and mom and dad said that I was a really good girl. AND I had my first chips and hot sauce!!!!!! Yummy!!

After dinner, it was WAY past my bedtime. Still when we got home, I played and played. Finally, I got tired and said "nigh nigh," for night night. Remember I was up early this morning and took a short nap today! I crashed at about 9:15!!! It was a fun, full Saturday!!

ENT Doctor

I went to the ENT doctor today. They did a hearing test and I didn't do so good. I have had so many ear infections that I need surgery next week. They are going to put tubes in my ears. I still have ear infections that won't go away. Forget the ear pulling, I am actually hitting the side of my head now to try to help! The doctor today gave me my 4th round of antibiotics for this month. It doesn't feel good, but you would never know it. I am in a great mood most of the time. Here I am being my normal goofy self! : )
I love walking around clapping my hands, talking away, and moving my arms up and down like a bird.
This is my new face. When I smile I like to crinkle my nose and show all my teeth. My parents and strangers think that it is real cute! It is hard to capture on film. Below shows a little bit of it.
I will keep you posted on the details of surgery. Right now all I know is that it will be next Thursday.

Spring Break Part 2

It has been a fun and busy Spring Break! On Monday, my parents and I stayed the night at my Grandparent's house. We went out to eat at Joe's Crab Shack in Kemah and got to eat outside.

I loved watching the birds.

We walked around the boardwalk and rode their train.

The next morning, my Grandparent's and I took my mom and dad to the airport. They went to Las Vegas for a few days while I continued to stay at my Grandparent's house. Here are some pictures of them in Las Vegas.

At Emeril's Steakhouse...

While they were in Las Vegas, I had a ball at my Grandparent's house. They cooked good food for me! I enjoyed playing with my cousins too. We also went shopping and I got to ride in a bug cart.

and we went to the Butterfly Museum. I loved it!!

On Friday night, my parent's came home from Las Vegas and I got to go pick them up at the airport. They brought back a cute Vegas Beanie Baby and a snow globe. It has been a GREAT Spring Break!!

Spring Break Part 1

Spring Break is here! I have done 2 big things so far this Spring Break.

One is I put on my bathing suit and played in a water playground in our back yard.

I didn't care for it too much at first, so I just layed out on a towel next to it.

Then I got brave and as long as my daddy was near I played in the water. The water was still a little cold.

The second thing is that I got my first hair cut! Well, really my bangs cut. I got to sit in a firetruck as they cut my hair. I loved it! It was so relaxing. I got so relaxed dad had to hold my head up.

Before...

See how relaxed I am...it wasn't a blink, I had my eyes closed in relaxation. I love my hair being brushed!

Bye-Bye bangs! Dad has his hand out to catch my hair for my book.

AFTER....aren't I cute?

Now I can see! Dad got his haircut too, but he didn't get to sit in a cool truck or save his hair.

My New Classroom

All cute and ready for school! I made it a whole week at school! However, mom did take me to the doctor one afternoon for a check up on my ears. I still have an ear infection and now we are tossing the idea of tubes. I am on my 3rd round of antibiotics for this month. If it doesn't knock it out soon I will have to go to an ENT. I feel fine, you would never know that I still have an infection.

I love my new classroom, the Young Toddler room. It has taken me some time to feel comfortable with my new teacher. When mom would drop me off I would put up a fuss when I never did before. Friday, I went right to my new teacher smiling. After I walked to her, the older toddlers came up to me and gave me a BIG HUG! It melted my mommy's heart. My teacher wrote on my report card that I am always happy there. Sometimes I play happily with my friends and sometimes I play happily by myself. Here are some snapshots of me at my school.

I made my first art project at school. See how well I did...
I have learned to feed myself a banana, Nutragrain bar, and cookies all by myself without someone breaking it up into small pieces. Here I am feeding a banana to myself. I take small bites off of it, chew, swallow, and then go for more.
The last blog I told you I can climb stairs as long as mom and dad watch me. Here is a picture of me in action.
Gizmo and I are great buds. We play well together and share everything. I also take good care of him when he looks thirsty or hungry.

More Big Girl Stuff!

On Saturday morning instead of watching cartoons, which I usually love, I decided to read my books at my table upstairs.
One book after another...I love reading!
I have a lot of studying to do to get ahead in my new toddler room. I am the youngest and must keep up. After reading it was time to relax, so mom and I went shopping. I wore my shopping bib that says 'Born to Shop!' I am working on my 9th tooth, so a bib is a must!
Ok, stop taking pictures and lets go...

After shopping, daddy joined us for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. I was a good girl. I LOVED their cheesecake!! Yum!! All 3 of us split one. Well dad had most of it.

The other parts of the weekend we stayed home, played around the house, and got some chores done.

I am a big girl now...I wear Pull Ups! No more diapers for me. I am not trying to potty train yet. My parents switched because it has been really difficult to change me lately. I squirm a lot!!! I am afraid they are going to do another breathing treatment, so I want to get away fast. I like the Pull Ups. So far they have been much easier, and I have only had one accident.

I also have climbed all the way up the stairs all by myself! Don't worry, mom and dad were right behind me. And in case you didn't know, I walk EVERYWHERE!!! I am even trying to run. I am fast now!
