Not Again...

As you know last Monday before my birthday I went to the doctor and they said I had a double ear infection. After a few days I felt fine and at my birthday party I felt great!! Here is me early on Sunday morning in one of my new birthday outfits. Excuse the bib, I am working on some new teeth. I have a total of 8 and a couple more coming in.

Then out of nowhere on Sunday I started to feel horrible. My fever went up to 103.5

I feel and look like I did before I went into the hospital. Mom and dad are worried! I hope I don't have to go there again! Gizmo tried to help me feel better. He always knows when I don't feel good and is there to give out get well kisses!

I went back to the doctor today that was suppose to be for a well visit. My ears still haven't got any better, my throat looks bad, and my chest doesn't sound good. The doctor said that he doesn't hear any pneumonia sounds, but he said that last time too 3 days before I went in the hospital. Oh, I hope that I don't have to go there again. The doctor gave me stronger antibiotics, so I hope that it clears it up soon. Maybe these Kleenex will help. My parents are always using these on me when I get sick...so lets get them all out so I can get better sooner!

Dad stayed home with me today and Granddad tomorrow. I like being with them, but I want to go back to school. I was suppose to start the toddler room today and it was cowgirl day. I missed out on the fun. I hope I get better soon! I don't like being sick!

My First Birthday Party!

When I woke up from my nap the house was full of people. I was shocked that they were there to help me celebrate my birthday. Thanks everybody! We had Chick-Fil-A cater. I loved my nuggets!

Afterwards we opened presents. I got so many presents! There was a gift one after another. Later this evening I really got to enjoy each present by playing with them all. I can't wait to wear my spring clothes. It is finally getting warm out and I didn't have any spring outfits. Thanks everyone! And tomorrow mom said with my birthday money I can choose my first bathing suit!

After gifts, everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to me. As they sang, I planned my attack on the cake...

Wow! It was fantastic.

After everyone left, I really got to enjoy my toys. I got two cool bikes. One of them I took outside and it has a cool cup holder. It turned out to be such a pretty day. Thank you Aunt Rakul,Uncle Carl, and Ben!

The other bike is a push walker that plays cool music and I can sit on it too. My Aunt Tara fixed my hair making me look like Alfalfa...however, after a while it grew on mommy. Now mommy is going to buy me some more colors tomorrow. It looked cute.Until later that evening... There's something about Mary's hair

Will my hair ever be the same?

I really enjoyed all of my gifts. I stayed up late playing with them all and never took the much needed 2nd nap (my first one mom cut short). I wish I could put a picture of me playing with each gift...but I would run out of room. I will add in future blogs.

One Year Old!

I am one year old today! At exactly 7:38 (same time born) my parents came in my room singing Happy Birthday to me. Mom made a birthday breakfast of pancakes! I gobbled them up! Afterwards, I got to open gifts from my parents. I got 3 Disney balls and a Minnie Mouse stuffed animal. Gizmo was very jealous and wanted to play with them.

Then we got dressed and went to the Downtown Aquarium. It was such a beautiful day!

We were originally going to go to the zoo, but I am still not 100% better (see previous blogs). But I had a lot of fun at the aquarium! We went through the exhibit and saw a lot of fish. Do you see the fish staring at me?

They would swim right up to me, but not touch me.

They even had a white tiger. Do you see him in the background?

I don't know why they had a tiger, it doesn't look like all the other things there... is this one of those games of what doesn't belong? I guess the Tiger! Uh, oh...he heard me making fun...

Just kidding...he is fake. After the exhibit, dad bought me a fish that I could touch.

Then we got to go on a train ride outside. I was so excited and it was so pretty outside!!

The train took us in the middle of a shark tank. Sharks were swimming to the left, to the right, and on top of us! I wasn't scared, but mommy didn't look too good!

After we went through the shark tank, a big shark jumped out at us and really scared mommy! : ) After the train ride, we had lunch at their restaurant.

As I ate, I got to see even more fish. They were all around us as we ate! I was a good girl in the fancy restaurant. Afterwards, we headed home...

I crashed within minutes. I continued my nap at home for 3 hours. I had so much fun today, it made me exhausted. After I woke up, I opened cards and more presents. From my parents I got Charlotte's Webb. I enjoyed watching it with mommy!

After dinner, my parents sang to me again and gave me a small birthday cake. They said it wouldn't taste as good as the one at my party on Saturday, but I thought it tasted really good to me!

I had a great First Birthday and I can't wait to continue celebrating it this weekend at my party!

Doctor Update

I have an ear infection in both ears! The doctor gave me some antibiotics. I hope it helps! I have to be well for my first birthday. Dad stayed home with me today and Granddad will tomorrow.

My Weekend!

Saturday I went to my uncle's wedding and I got dressed up in panty hose. My allergies had been bothering me for a while, but just a couple of hours before the wedding it took a turn for the worst. I started getting a bad cough and cold. I tried to be good for the wedding, but I just didn't feel good. : (

This morning I woke up with a fever. I feel horrible. I moan a lot to let my parents know just how bad I feel. Dad has off tomorrow and he plans on taking me to the doctor. I think my ears are infected too.

For a few hours today my cousin Alyssa took care of me while my mom and dad went to see a friend of mine in the hospital that was just born. She helped me get my mind off of not feeling good.

Once my parents were home and still not feeling good, all I wanted to do was cuddle with my mommy. Mommy didn't mind, especially after holding a new born baby. I am still her baby no matter how big I get!

I fell asleep on mom for at least 30 minutes. Mom said that she enjoyed every minute of it! I think Gizmo was jealous!

Walking

I AM WALKING!!!

I had been doing a few steps here and there between my parents with a lot of encouragement. Now I walk even without their encouragement. I walk where ever I want to go. I even walk away from my parents. I don't walk everywhere all the time, but I am well on my way.

Here I am starting at the coffee table and walking towards the camera. They aren't great shots, but mom says it is hard to get action shots like this.

Tonight I walked the furthest. I was playing at the toy box that is next to the TV in the living room. All of a sudden Gizmo started going crazy barking in the kitchen cabinet. I don't know why, mom already fed him. I wanted to check it out, so I released the toy chest...

and started walking towards him. I went around my toys on the floor...

into the kitchen....

around the table, just barely cheating and touching a chair for a split second...

and continued to walk to Gizmo in the cabinet...

I continued to stand up for a long time and kept laughing at Gizmo...
Mom was so excited that I made it this far and did turns. When I got there I reminded Gizmo that he is on a diet, so I stepped on his tail. He has lost a lot so mom gave in and gave him a bone. Heck, if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have walked this far! He deserved it!

On another note, after school mom took me to Chick-File for dinner. Mom and I are having a lot of alone time. Dad is having to work a lot this week. I have only seen him at night once this whole week. I miss him!

At Chick-File mom ordered my food for my birthday party on the 24th. So if you are coming to the party, we are having chicken nuggets : ) and their Salad Cool Wraps among other things. So come hungry! I hope to show off my walking at the party!

Home Sick

I am not sick, but mom is. If you read the last blog you saw how mommy caught my pink eye(s). Her doctor said that she can't return to work for 2 days. The first day I still went to school but got picked up early. Today I stayed home with mom. Her eyes look a lot better, but both of us still have to do our drops everyday.

I have enjoyed being at home. It was good thing that I didn't go to school today...I had a bad hair day!


I enjoyed watching the morning sun with Gizmo. We also like to watch for when Daddy comes home!

First February Weekend

I had a good weekend. On Friday, my cousin Alyssa and Katy came over to play while my parents went out to eat. We watched Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. I liked dancing with Alyssa to the Oompa Loompa (sp?)song!

I had a little bit of pink eye again on Saturday. I had been clear for a couple of days so my parents stopped the eye drops. Since it came back up, they are continuing the drops a lot longer. I was fine the rest of the weekend, but now Mommy has the pink eye(s)!

Saturday I went to the mall and met Grandma and Granddad. Afterwards, mom and dad took me to RJ Goodies for lunch and to order my birthday cake. Then we did our shopping at HEB instead of Target for once. HEB was cool! They gave me a green balloon. I played with it through out the store and at home. I took it everywhere!

See I told you I took the balloon everywhere!

I am walking more and more everyday. I can walk back and forth between my parents without any help. I have walked the distance of the TV to the recliner.

Sunday, it was so pretty! The weather would have been perfect to go to the zoo, but we didn't because of all of our allergies and mommy had a funeral to go to across town. Instead we enjoyed the weather by blowing bubbles outside. I enjoyed it! I am ready for spring!
