Got Milk?

See my milk mustache? I am no longer on formula now. I take whole milk out of my cup! Yea!

It isn't a great picture of me because I have been home for a couple of days with pink eye(s). Dad was supposed to take a picture of me the first day of it, but he didn't. Now I can't show you how bad it looked. My eye was very red and the eyelid was purple and swollen shut. I looked horrible! Mom and dad have taken turns staying home with me. It looked a lot better today, but the school said that I couldn't come back yet. We will try again tomorrow.

I have taken 8 steps on my own between mom and dad without a walker. More like 4 because the last 4 went really fast just before tumbling. I have to get my balance first and then I can do it. If I don't get my balance first, I get in too much of a hurry and fall down.

I am such a big girl. Lately, mom and dad put me to bed completely awake and I go straight to sleep on my own...(mommy is crossing her fingers for some reason?)

I am growing up so fast. My birthday is right around the corner...I can't wait. Mommy is going to order my birthday cake and food this weekend. My party is in a few weeks!

What a Fun Day!

Today was so much fun! We went to the Katy Mills Mall to walk around and shop. Then we went to the coolest restaurant ever, The Rainforest Cafe! Outside the restaurant there were all these animals moving and making noises. Mommy pointed out the cute ones and scary ones.

As we waited for our table, we shopped at their store and watched the fish swim by.

When we got our table, we were surrounded by more animals. There were elephants, monkeys, birds, zebras, butterflies, cheetahs, fish, and many more animals.

It was so cool. I enjoyed it when it would "rain" and the animals would make a lot of noises. I laughed and laughed! I really enjoyed being there!

Also, by our table there was a golden man standing in a fountain. I didn't understand the point of him.

As I waited for lunch, I got hungry so I had carrots and peaches. Then my lunch came... dinosaur chicken nuggets!

They were GREAT! I ate a lot! The nuggets made me thirsty, so I drank my lemonade...out of a straw! Umm, good.

As I ate, a big monkey walked around to our table. You can't tell by the picture because I just turned my head around when the picture was taken...but I loved him! I wasn't scared of him at all! I gave him high five and a big smile. He was cute!

After lunch, daddy bought me a hat and we shared an icecream!

We went to my Grandparents to see their pretty new living room/dining room. I showed them my new hat.

And Granddaddy showed me his!

The day of fun continued over there. I got to play with my cousin Ben. Also, my grandparents have a cool Elmo walker that I like to ride and push.

They also have this cool Bug car. Granddaddy pushed me up and down the sidewalk. I had a ball! Hands on 10 and 2!

I had so much fun today! I crashed on the way home.

I did it! I did it!!

Yup, I did it. I went to bed without a bottle and I am not even a year old yet! For over a week I only needed one bottle a day (just at night). I have been drinking out of my sippie really good lately, but couldn't get past my night bottle. But tonight, I did it!!!! I went to bed with a few sips of my cup and went right to sleep. My parents tried the cup again tonight instead of the bottle, because the bottle had been making me cough a lot as I drank it. I had a hard time with the different flows each one had. My parents figured it was a sign to try the cup again.

My parents are so proud, yet sad. They are proud I am growing up to be such a big girl, but sad the baby phase if you will has passed. This weekend they will have to pack up all the bottles in the cabinet till my baby brother or sister comes...if one ever does. Mom and dad said it will be a while by the way! At least plan wise!

Babysitting

Friday to my surprise when daddy came home from work he wasn't the only one that walked through the door. He had my cousin Alyssa and Cousin Katy with him...and McDonald's! I already had some mixed vegetables, but I still gobbled up 2 chicken nuggets and a few fries. Mommy took off some of the fried breading but it was still very good. As I ate, I kept staring at Katy. It was a nice treat to have them over for dinner. After dinner we had a ball playing. Katy showed me how to use my learning table in Spanish.

I loved being babysat. It was a lot of fun! Thank you, we will have to do it again sometime!

My parents stayed to bathe me. Dad has a new game in the tub that I love. I have a green duckie that squirts out water in a long stream. He squirts it at me and makes me giggle. I giggle a lot when he squirts my underarm or my neck. That really tickles. After the bath, Alyssa bottled me and put me to bed. I never knew that my parents left during that time to go out to eat on a date. I was a good girl! I went right to sleep and gave Alyssa no troubles. Mommy says that next time they will leave earlier and let me play with my cousins more before bedtime.

I slept through the night till 6:30. I had my normal breakfast bar and formula in a cup.
I am still doing good in only having one bottle a day just before bedtime. I still drink formula, but out of a sippie cup. After breakfast, I played and then relaxed to watch cartoons.

Sitting up got tiring, so I got really relaxed in mommy's comfy piggie quilt!

What a blast!

Yesterday, dad picked me up early from school. That was a great surprise. I had a surprise for him too. Look at my school report card from Tuesday...

I am a big girl now!! I take only one bottle a day...just before bedtime!

I stayed home today from school and got to be with my family. Dad had to work at home, but he came down for lunch and to play with me. For lunch, I had beef and tomato raviolli with green beans. I loved it!

Dad built a great fire and I got all bundled up. I am wearing my pink Texas A & M jumpsuit with pink slippers.

My hands were cold, so mom put these mittens on me. I didn't care for them much...it made my hands disappear.

We played all day!

I still love to go for a ride in the laundry basket. I crawl in the laundry room all the time. Gizmo loves it too.

When I wasn't playing, I relaxed by sitting in my bing bag watching tv by the fire. It was a comfy day!

The artic blast was a blast of fun!

Growing up!

I am using my lawn mower walker a lot. Mom and dad have been working with me every night with it. I walk back and forth between my parents. They get so excited when I take 20 steps towards them. Now I can use the walker to walk to other things other than my mom and dad...like to the TV. I still crawl everywhere. It gets me places much faster, but I am starting to get the hang of this walking bit.

Also, I am finally taking 2 of my bottles in my sippie cup. It is hard letting go of my bottle, but I am starting to get the hang of this too.

Any time mom and dad have any type of food, Gizmo and I are right there waiting for a handout. My parents thought Gizmo's puppy eyes were bad...now they get 2 pairs of puppy eyes! I tried to remind Gizmo of his New Years Resolution to lose his weight, so I can have mommy all to myself.
I like to play peek-a-boo and hide & seek a lot!!!!! I Like to hide under a blanket, mommy's legs, or behind an object and then sneak up on them. Also, I love it when my parents sneak up on me and say boo. I think it is the funniest thing on earth. See how good I hide...

As hard as I have been playing, you would never know that I have another cold. I think my immune system is handling it better, because I do not have a fever and I am in great spirits. After pneumonia, this cold is nothing! So far, so good... I went back to sleeping during the night too.

New Year, New Thing

For this New Year, I am doing something new! I have learned to point at things. I curl all 4 of my fingers in and extend my pointer finger out. I have done it for a few days now, but my parents thought it might have been accidental. Now I point at a lot of things! My parents are working with me on my words as I point.

Today when I was helping mommy in the kitchen, I kept pointing. Not the best picture of me pointing, but it gets the point across.

Am I pointing at Mommy, Daddy, Gizmo, or my pictures on the fridge?

NO! It's my Grandma and Granddaddy!!

Then few minutes later, mommy and I went into the living room and I starting pointing again. Guess what it was...

When mommy learned what I was pointing at she brought the frame closer to me. It made me smile. I enjoy being with them. Last Friday I got to stay the night at their house. When Granddaddy is around my parents are chopped liver. I go straight to my Granddaddy. I love my grandparents. I love my parents too...but Granddaddy and I have a special bond.

I am also learning how to play on a lot of my new toys. I learned how to push a button on my choo-choo train to make it move. I also have learned to use my hammer to hit the things in my toolbox from my Aunt Tara, Uncle Barry, and cousins. When I hit them they light up and sing to me.

I love my frog I got from my Uncle Paul and Aunt Stacy while I was in the hospital. I am working on learning how to kiss it to make it into a prince!
